Rebuilding Intimacy and Connection

Many couples seek support when emotional closeness, sexual connection, or communication begins to feel strained or distant.

Leanne works with couples to better understand the patterns that create conflict or disconnection. Through guided conversations and therapeutic interventions, partners are supported in developing healthier communication, emotional understanding, and renewed intimacy.

Navigating Sexual Differences in Relationships

Differences in sexual desire, preferences, and expectations are one of the most common sources of tension in relationships.

Sex therapy provides couples with a safe and respectful space to explore these differences without blame or shame. Together, couples can develop a greater understanding of one another’s needs while building a sexual relationship that feels mutually fulfilling and sustainable.

Restoring Trust After Betrayal

Experiences such as infidelity, secrecy, or compulsive sexual behaviour can deeply affect relational trust and emotional safety.

Leanne works with couples to explore the underlying dynamics that contributed to the rupture and to support both partners in rebuilding honesty, accountability, and emotional connection.

Leanne works with individuals navigating a wide range of emotional, relational, and sexual health concerns. Individual therapy provides a confidential space to explore personal experiences, develop insight, and build healthier patterns in relationships, identity, and well-being.

Compulsive Sexual Behaviour and Pornography Use

Leanne works with individuals and couples impacted by compulsive sexual behaviour, pornography use, or secrecy within relationships.

Her work focuses on helping clients understand the emotional and psychological patterns underlying these behaviours while supporting individuals and couples in rebuilding honesty, accountability, and relational safety.

Trauma and Nervous System Regulation

Sexual and relational difficulties are often connected to experiences of trauma or chronic stress held within the body. Leanne integrates body-based approaches such as Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE®) to support nervous system regulation and trauma recovery.

Women’s Sexual Health and Wellbeing

Leanne is particularly passionate about supporting women’s overall wellbeing and sexuality. Her work recognises the complex interplay among identity, emotional well-being, bodily experiences, relationships, and cultural influences.

Through therapy, women are supported in developing deeper self-understanding, confidence, and healthier relational patterns

Materials or aids in between sessions

Between our therapy sessions, I make sure you’ve got all the tools and resources you need to keep making progress on your journey. It’s all about teamwork – we’re in this together, working towards your well-being. Therapy isn’t just about the time we spend together; it’s a continuous process that extends into your everyday life. So, I’ll give you some practical tasks to work on between sessions. They’re like homework assignments but don’t worry, they’re tailored to support what we’re doing in therapy and help you take steps forward.

Sexuality, intimacy, and emotional safety are deeply interconnected. When trust is broken, trauma has been experienced, or patterns of disconnection develop within relationships, individuals and couples can find themselves feeling confused, hurt, or stuck.

Leanne works with individuals and couples to understand the deeper patterns shaping their relational and sexual experiences. With nearly two decades of counselling experience, she integrates clinical sexology, relationship therapy, and trauma-informed approaches to support clients in rebuilding trust, restoring intimacy, and developing healthier relational patterns.

Known for her ability to listen deeply and help clients “connect the dots,” Leanne supports individuals in gaining clarity and insight where there was once confusion or emotional pain.

Alongside her clinical work, Leanne has been involved in higher education since 2011, teaching psychology and counselling-related subjects at tertiary level. Her work combines the worlds of therapy and education, bringing both practical experience and academic insight into her sessions.
